A Clematis Tip
If in doubt whether to prune clematis or not - do nothing. That's what Mother Nature does. These clematis are species or hybrids thereof - and there certainly was not a soul in the wilds to thoughtfully prune these plants when these evolved. Gardening after all, is just common sense.Small Flowered Clematis

Excellent by any name and always one of the very finest. My absolute favorite and a very vigorous clematis, romps over a driftwood arbor in my gardens and is most joyous in bloom in September. So hardy, so lovely and so divinely fragrant! Masses of small snowy-white flowers on a very dense and tenacious vine that is more than delighted to tackle a tree! |
